FAQ

Classroom Wish List

Q: Will my child learn safety in the engineering and design course?
A: Absolutely! I will go over any new materials in depth and be sure that students understand importance of classroom safety.

Q: What is Ms. Zoë hoping to bring to the K-5 Engineering program?
A: Ms. Zoë is thrilled to be teaching engineering this year. Her background is in Visual Arts- Media, so she's always been interested in sharing cutting-edge technologies with her students, and getting kids excited about the possibilities of creating original work and building new interests for their futures! Engineering blends her passions for technology, craft, design, being creative and making the world a better place.

Q: What will my child learn this year in Engineering and Design?
A: My goal is to give students exposure to fundamental engineering concepts that will help them as they progress each year. The engineering design process will be a consistent theme as we look at the world, identify problems, and come up with creative solutions through prototyping and testing our ideas.
Students will experiment with Engineering and Literacy, circuits, and programming through their projects. Many projects will come from teacher and student passions.
