Give younger students a challenge and they will rise to the occasion!
At first, I worried. Was I introducing challenges too soon? Are the kids going to be able to do it? Am I jumping in too fast? Luckily, my worries were dashed as soon as we began and I learned that design challenges are great for many reasons. Students learn critical thinking skills, teamwork and collaboration, and problem solving with great motivation to test their results and see what they can do better!
